Employees from Applied Information Sciences across the United States gathered in Las Vegas to geek out over the newly announced enhancements to the Power Platform. The Power Platform Community Conference 2024 (formerly the Microsoft Power Platform Conference) was held from September 18-20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Around 6,000 attendees came together to learn, network, and support the Power Platform community.

A few of the most interesting releases in the Power Platform announced at the conference include:

  • AI Recorder for Desktop Flows: This tool simplifies the creation of desktop flows by reducing errors associated with recording clicks and keystrokes, making automation more accessible.
  • Generative Actions in Power Automate: Users can now create and manage cloud flows directly within their workspace, enhancing productivity and streamlining workflows.
  • Natural Language Desktop Flows: The ability to generate desktop flows using natural language is now in public preview, further simplifying the automation process.
  • Coauthoring in Power Apps: This feature allows multiple makers to work on different parts of a canvas app simultaneously, speeding up development and improving collaboration.

These enhancements make the Power Platform more powerful and user-friendly, helping organizations innovate and streamline their operations.
