AIS is proud to be a sponsor for this year’s Raleigh Code Camp. Code Camp is a free event for software developers to come and learn from their peers. This community driven event has become an international trend where peer groups of all platforms, programming languages and disciplines band together to bring content to the community.
In addition to being a sponsor, AIS’s Steve Kip Streithorst will be a guest presenter leading a session entitled Learning C# 6 By Example.
Session Description:
Come learn the new features of C# 6, part of Visual Studio 2015. C# 6 provides a number of features to make your code easier to write and easier to read. Come learn about enhanced string templates and the new null conditional operator, both of which you will probably want to start using immediately. We will also cover the other new features such as expression bodied methods, auto property initializers and primary constructors which can greatly simplify data objects. This session will be done as a before and after, showing code written without the new features and then showing updated code using the new C# 6 features. If we have time, we might also discuss some of the new features in the Visual Studio 2015 IDE as well.
