Since Steve Michelotti and I recorded the Migrate & Modernize with Kubernetes on Azure Gov Video on Microsoft’s Channel 9, production-level support for Windows Nodes has been added. So we decided to “upgrade” the Music Store app to take advantage of this capability.
Watch this short six-minute video to understand the changes involved.
In the previous version of this video, we had converted this application to containers in Kubernetes. However, at that time, Windows Nodes for Kubernetes were not available. Since then, Kubernetes 4.14 has come out with support for Windows Nodes. This video walks through the upgrade of this application in moving this application directly into a Windows Node pool in AKS.
This update gives us greater flexibility in migration applications to Kubernetes and hosting them there while keeping the functionality of the application the same.
I hope you find this useful. Thanks!
